Waitlisted Segments

Guidelines

Travel Agency Responsibility

Guidelines

·         Limited to the following revenue inventories: F, J, D, W and Y on AA Prime flights

·         No more than 2 flights should be waitlisted (HL). Multiple segments are highly discouraged.

o   The last booked waitlist is considered the 1st preferred.

·         All waitlist requests are considered an intention to travel on that flight.

·         If the waitlist is not cleared, the system will UC the segment. The agency must cancel any UC segments.

·         When the AA cabin waitlist capacity for a flight has been reached, attempts to waitlist will receive the message WAITLIST CLOSED

·         Any waitlist segments added to a reservation within 24 hours of departure will not be actioned.

Travel Agency Responsibility

·         Monitor their notification queue for confirmation of the waitlisted segment.

·         Cancel any duplicate flight segments and issue/reissue as soon as possible.

·         Ticketing is required per the time limit indicated by the system for the issue/reissue of the new HK flight segment.

o   Failing to reissue the ticket may result in losing the confirmed segment.

·         If the customer decides not to travel on the requested waitlist, the travel agent should cancel the waitlist request as soon as they are notified.
