Trip Credit 


 

Trip Credits are redeemable via AA Reservations team or aa.com only.

 

Overview

A Trip Credit is an Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD-S) issued by American that will eventually replace paper accountable documents, like paper travel vouchers.

A Trip Credit is different from a Flight Credit (Floating VCR).

A flight Credit is a ticket with unflown value and not associated itinerary, the value can be applied toward new travel. A Flight Credit (unused ticket) may be exchanged by the original ticketing agency.

 

Details

·         Trip Credits may be issued by multiple AA departments.

·         Customer receives initial and residual Trip Credits via email.

·         Trip Credit number is a 13-digit number that begins with 00115 / 00142 / 00144

·         Tickets using Trip Credits must be issued on 001 ticket stock and may only include air travel on:

o   American Airlines

o   American Eagle

o   AA* Codeshare

o   oneworld itineraries

·         oneworld flight(s) must be booked as prime or AA*

·         There must be a minimum of one AA Prime or AA Codeshare flight

·         Not accepted for any other airline fares
