Argentina CUIL/CUIT Requirements
Overview
The CUIL is a Unique Labor Identification Code (CUIL) that is granted to all individuals who begin to work under a dependent relationship or manage any provision of Social Security in Argentina. The CUIL number is essential so that the employer reports workers’ contributions (taxes) to the Revenue Collection and Customs Agency (ARCA)
A CUIT is a Unique Tax Identification Code (CUIT) that is required for almost all business activities in Argentina. Any citizen or company starting an economic activity in the country must register with the ARCA.
General Guidelines
· CUIL or CUIT information must be included when purchasing a ticket when taxes Q1/S5 are being collected.
· Travel agencies can ask to add the CUIL or CUIT after two months from the ticket issue date. This is to allow Finance Department to have the list of all tickets issued two months ago.
· Travel agencies can send an email for assistance to add or modify the CUIL or CUIT to a previous purchase after ticket issue or reissue, regardless of whether the ticket has been used or not.
· Requests to add a CUIL or CUIT number should be sent to agency.relations@aa.com along with the following information:
o Ticket Number(s)
o Specify if the number you are providing is the CUIL or CUIT
o Provide the CUIL or CUIT number.
Contacting ARCA
· ARCA must be contacted when a ticket is issued with a valid CUIT or CUIL, but it does not belong to the desired passenger and the ticket does not show up in our files.
· If a request has been processed by AA to modify or add a CUIT or CUIL and if the passenger has not received the update after a considerable amount of time, they must contact ARCA.
