Since Passengers may have multiple Redress, Known Traveler, and Visa numbers for different countries, the country/state for which the travel information is applicable will become mandatory.  

American's operating system will be updated effective March 1, 2023, to comply with new International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards, including the following requirements: 
 

• The applicable country/state code is required when entering a Redress Number or Known Traveler Number 
   

Example:          DOCO//K/123456789//US 

Example:          DOCO//R/123456//US 

     DOCO//R/CAN123456//CA 
 

• Visa expiration date is required when adding visa information to the reservation 

Example:          DOCO/DALLAS TX/V/1234567/PHOENIX/01DEC22/JP//25DEC25
